Intake Black Nitrided Valves

Our intake Black Nitrided valves are made of one-piece forged stainless steel treated with a specialized black nitriding process. This surface hardening technology diffuses nitrogen into the outer layer of the valve, significantly enhancing wear resistance and fatigue strength and reducing friction in the valve guide due to the smoother surface.

Technical Features:
  • Base Material:High-grade stainless steel (EV8 / 21-4N)
  • Surface Hardness:Nitrided layer with hardness up to ~800 HV, improving resistance to abrasion and valve seat recession.
  • Manufacturing Process: Precision forged, CNC-machined, polished, and tip hardened for maximum durability.
  • Treatment Coverage:Unlike localized chrome coatings, the Entire valve (stem and head) receives black nitriding.
  • Dimensional Accuracy:Tight tolerances for stem concentricity, straightness, and sealing surfacefinish.
Advantages:
  • Reduced stem-to-guide friction for lower wear and improved high-RPM stability.
  • Longer life compared to untreated stainless-steel valves.
  • Reliable sealing in both naturally aspirated and turbo engines.
  • Suitable for high-performance motorsport use where endurance and consistency are critical.
